major sponsor of the race and the Sullivans Cove Single Malt Whisky label,

1999 Qantas Australian Grand Prix Decanter
|
||||||
| In maintaining the shape
of this years decanter, we have used another process of manufacture called
lost wax casting. The front and rear spoilers and rear axle have been
reproduced as bronze components and attached to the fuselage. During this
year another parameter was set on the use of tyres. That is that the tyres
needed to be grooved so as only a single tyre could be used in both wet
and dry conditions. This has been reflected on this years decanter as
cold cure ceramics attached to the bronze axles. We feel that this years
car is the most complete using the appropriate materials and design to
achieve such an outstanding result. The fuselage is glazed red. This can
only be achieved with the use of 24ct gold within the glazing process.
The base is a black oxide glaze that features chequered decaling accompanied
by 24ct gold decals depicting track layout, sponsor and Bullocks Creek
Single Malt Whisky as the content, of which 700ml is contained in the
lower base. Only 500 is produced and identified on the bronze plaque featured on each decanter. A certificate also accompanies each car. Price: $290.00 incl GST |

2000 Qantas Australian Grand Prix
Decanter
|
||||||
| The 2000 release is designed
so as to incorporate the car into the base producing a decanter that is
predominantly a single piece. Having said that, the cockpit forms the
cover to the decanter, as a separate piece, not as the vehicle body in
previous years. Glazed yellow, the decanter features 23 separate decals
to present the car as typically decaled. 24 ct gold decals incorporated.
The cockpit which forms the cover to the pouring neck to 700ml of Bullocks
Creek Single Malt Whisky, has been hand painted in 24ct gold, setting
the whole decanter beautifully. Only 500 units produced complete with certificate. Price: $245.00 incl GST |
