The 'Digger' (one of three servicemen we are producing - see RAAFie and Jack Tar) forms part of our 'Heritage Collection' The sculpture depicts these Australians through the character of men willing to risk everything for our way of life.

Standing approx 23cm, the 'Digger' is a two piece sculpture. The slouch hat hides the pouring neck to 500ml Bullocks Tawny Port.

On the purchase of each 'Digger' $5.00 will be donated to Legacy Australia. An organisation which has a charter to help the spouses and families of deceased veterans.

PRICE: $90.00 incl GST

Footnote: It has been asked why the slouch hat has been sculptured down and not up as typically recognised. Having researched via credible publications and referrals from the lads at Victoria Barracks, Melbourne, it was clear that the slouch hat is only worn up with the shirt and collar done up during ceremonial duties. It is true to say that some men during campaigns of the past, whilst in conflict, did wear the side up and that the Australian soldier is recognised with the side up. We saw the 'Digger' as an average everyday Australian guy that is called upon the government of the day to perform his/her duties. We wanted to pay tribute for his courage and honour to follow a command and face adversity. Our tribute is to the person and not the overall Australian Army for which the slouch hat is recognised, side up. The tribute is to the person and not the hat.
